The Art of Not Giving a Sh*t

As a high school student, I am very well familiar and exposed to the idea of hate. You can never deny that you aren't familiar with this term because everyone deals with it eventually. Whether or not it is you who emits it. One piece of advice for all of you: It's just god-damned high school. What people (including the past me) fail to realize is that everything from classmates to homework to love lives are just temporary and will eventually cease to become something you won't care about in ten years.

Right now, I'm risking myself by writing this but to give this article some justice, I don't give a shit. There are, indeed, people out there who will despise you for reasons and for none, but the best way to deal with it is to not care. It's not a flip of a coin, but it's worth trying. And once you've mastered the chronic art of not giving a shit then CONGRATULATIONS!! Because seriously, the root of confidence is faith in yourself because that is the only thing that should ever matter.

There will be many people who will offend you with or without trying, but when you don't care all that much of what others think of you, then you are officially the better person to begin with.

Moreover, here are a few tips on how to get your IDGAF groove on:
  • The first few tries are the hardest, but once you get past these difficulties, you will be unstoppable
  • Overthinking is never a good idea. Banish the questions "Why did she say that?" and "Why does he hate me?"
  • It's much easier when you have friends that have your back through thick and thin
  • Use your CBF (chronic bitch face) when you need to
  • Dress like you own yourself
  • The last but not the least, you have to love yourself; there is no other person you should be doing this for except you
